The Colour Factory is a not-for-profit organisation; we create our own work, we provide workshops, we take part in community projects, we host work experience for university students and graduates, we contribute to citywide creative projects, we partner with local organisations, we raise money and work with charities, we support the local arts industry, we do our best for the environment. We do our bit to make the world a little brighter!

We don’t rely on any funding or grants to maintain our survival, nor have we ever done. We exist frugally and well within our means. The only income this organisation recieves is from the rent charged to the artists under our roof.

We don’t have much in our bank accounts; nor do we need much! We’re never going to be millionaires. All we wish for is to have enough to cover what we need and to keep creating for as long as we can.

The Colour Factory has existed for more than 30 years; it has seen multiple governments, survived recessions, and even a pandemic, whilst each of the people who run it have been doing so alongside their own lives, families and life changes.

With the current cost of living crisis and continuously rising bills, we are feeling a bit of a pinch, so we have made the decision to create a little donation platform to alleviate that nervousness a little bit.

If you’d like to support us, but you’ve not got the time for workshops, your walls are already full of paintings and your fingers are already covered in rings, please consider donating to The Colour Factory Funds. You can make a one-off donation of any amount (even the price of a standard coffee would help) or you can make a recurring donation of a particular amount.

The world would be a dreary place without the arts, as would Winchester be without The Colour Factory!

If you’d like to support us without spending any money, there are many ways you can do so! Share us with friends, leave us a sparkling review on Google, or you
