Terms & Conditions
WORKSHOPS
All workshops must be booked and paid for at least 5 days before the workshop is due to take place, unless a specific arrangement with the artist has been agreed beforehand. Workshops are typically non-refundable. If you discover that you cannot attend the workshop any more, please get in touch with the artist hosting; it is up to the individual artist if they wish to reschedule. If, after booking, you don’t attend the workshop and don’t give any notice that you won’t attend, you will not be guaranteed a reschedule.
No alcohol is permitted before or during the workshops, unless specified by the individual artist. Only the booked participants of the workshops are permitted to attend the workshops; if you arrive without prior booking, or bring any additional guests that we weren’t notified of, we reserve the right to refuse entry. If you have any queries or questions, please do get in touch.
We have a selection of external artists who we hire the teaching spaces to; they are independent practitioners to The Colour Factory who do not operate as part of the organisation. They are their own business with their own insurance and The Colour Factory cannot be held liable for incidents that may occur. This being said, community is an important part of The Colour Factory; if an issue does happen to arise, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help resolve any issues as best we can.
SPECIAL ORDERS
Please feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss a commission. Special orders and customised pieces of jewellery can take longer depending on the complexity of the piece, but we would be more than happy to discuss this as part of the bespoke making process. When taking on a personalised piece or special order, a minimum of a 50% non-refundable deposit is expected to be able to start the project, unless specified otherwise by the artist. Full payment will need to be made before the piece is dispatched or when the piece is collected.
RETURNS
If you are not happy with your purchase, you are required to get in touch with the Colour Factory/relevant artist and have 30 days to return items in their original packaging, with proof of purchase. You will then receive a refund or you can exchange to the full value of your purchase. You are responsible for the safe return of the work. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost in transit. If you are posting something, we recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery. The cost of returning the item is your responsibility and your original postage costs will not be refunded unless the item of jewellery you receive is faulty. This policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of whether your refund has been approved or rejected. Subject to approval, a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within 3 days. Any items that have been specially commissioned, customised or personalised cannot be returned.
